Michalak to head to England?
Frederic Michalak could move to England to concentrate on the “supreme goal” of representing France again.
The mercurial fly-half is currently playing for South African provincial side the Sharks in the Super 14.
The 25-year-old joined them after last year’s World Cup but, after being forced to miss the Six Nations due to his commitments in the southern hemisphere, he admits he may need to rethink his career.
“I would like to play Super 14 as much as possible,” Michalak told French daily L’Equipe.
“I feel I am progressing but if I want to play for France, I have to return. The Six Nations is a big Super 14. It is tricky for me - I am enjoying taking part (in the Super 14) but at the same time, I was disappointed to miss the Six Nations.
“You can’t have everything. But all the same, France is the supreme goal. Playing for the France team makes you dream.”
Michalak revealed he will make a decision on his future “at the end of the month”.
“I have offers in England, others in France,” he added.
“I want to continue to work and stay playing at the highest level, like I am here. We will see. I am looking at the offers - essentially the players with whom I am going to be playing with.”
